I have been trying to find information for some time about my grandmother’s family. We are descendants from JAMES FEARON born c 1808, who came from Tandragee, Armagh (according to some documentation that we have in a family history publication). He migrated with his family to New Zealand in 1868, on the Caribou. Is there a connection? When I read that your Ellen (also called Eleanor) was a ‘Fearon’ we seem to have a few things in common. Several family names match, as does their place of origin. Irish relatives can be awkward to pin down! Let me know your thoughts…
